Downtown Physicians Group is proud to offer a package of comprehensive services providing occupational health, wellness and worker’s compensation services that can be tailored to meet your organizational requirements and adhere to government regulations.  Our Wellness Specialist will be responsible for efficiently scheduling your employee’s appointments and coordinating care if the physician recommends an MRI, physical therapy or other special services.  

We offer the flexibility which organizations need for shift and staffing schedules. Most employee health and safety services can be provided at your location or in our office at 1800 O St., Ste 220.  We can accommodate work injuries or screenings by scheduling appointments on the same day. We have laboratory and x-ray services; (including mammography, bone density and ultrasound) and a radiologist on site so your employees receive the high quality, timely care they need.

The Downtown Physicians Group Health Services program combines wellness, occupational health and service coordination.  Implementing a comprehensive employee health and safety program will assist you in controlling your healthcare and insurance costs through practical loss prevention and health promotion strategies.  An integral part of any risk management program is instituting a corporate specific health promotion program that creates a healthier workforce and improves the quality of life of its employees. 

Some of the Services that Downtown Physicians Group may provide:

• Coordinates all employee health services, screenings which include blood pressure, cholesterol and hearing, just to name a few.
• On the job immunizations for flu shot and hepatitis B.
• Establish and maintain timely communication between our medical providers and your worker’s compensation insurance carrier.
• Negotiates for cost effective and timely delivery of respective medical services.
• Our Medical providers could present onsite wellness and health promotion programs as well as safety talks.
• Discounts on injury and illness care.
• Non DOT and DOT physicals.
• Certified collection site for drug screening on hair for both pre placement and post accident testing.
• Certified & SAMSHA approved urine drug collection site for both pre placement and post accident testing.
• In house scheduling for all our own services.
• Offsite special services such as MRI or physical therapy recommended by the physician will be scheduled after we’ve received approval from the worker’s compensation insurance carrier.

Easy Appointment Scheduling
At Downtown Physicians Group when calling our office for an appointment, we ask for the following information to best meet the needs of the employer and patient, you may call for an appointment between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  

• Name of employee, date of birth, home address and phone.
• Date of injury and general type of injury or screening.
• Description of injury, if an injury
  • What happened?
  • Where did injury occur?
  • What are the injured employee’s current complaints?

Following the employee’s visit, A physician consult (click here to see a sample) form will be sent to the employer, after your employee is seen, so you can keep track of your employee’s progress. The information we can send to the employer is based on the employers needs.  On the employer profile, please list what type of information you would like to receive from our providers so you’re kept involved in the best care we can offer.
